My practice is comprised of painting and the performative where i am making my life as a painter in 1904.

I believe there is much good of the past discarded in the race for tomorrow. Through the performative i offer contact with a person of the past in everyday life.

The Edwardian is a period often overlooked, conflated with the Victorian and overwhelmed by the Great War that followed it. For me it is the culmination of centuries of social development with manners and language quite removed from today. The social restrictions of Then have their similarlties to the social restrictions of Now. To have a living as a Painter is as difficult today.
